Thailand is full of hostels and accommodations, making it overwhelming to decide where to stay. But don’t worry—I’ve got you covered! Here are my absolute favourite spots from our trip, each offering a unique experience for every type of traveler:
1. Cube Hostel, Bangkok
Modern, sleek, and perfectly located, Cube Hostel was a breath of fresh air. Situated just down the street from the iconic Khao San Road, it offered the perfect mix of convenience and comfort. The private rooms were equipped with A/C and TVs—ideal for cooling off after a day of exploring Bangkok’s chaotic charm. While it wasn’t the most social spot, it was a welcome retreat when we needed a break from the buzz.
2. North Star Valley, Chiang Mai
If you’re looking for a splurge-worthy experience, North Star Valley is it. Nestled in the mountains, this dreamy spot offered stunning views, bubble domes with clear roofs for stargazing, and an all-inclusive package with delicious meals and five-star service. It was the ultimate slice of luxury on our trip and an unforgettable stay.
3. Revolution Hostel, Chiang Mai
This was the perfect blend of social vibes, stunning design, and a prime location. Revolution Hostel had everything: daily events, a sparkling pool to cool off in Chiang Mai’s heat, and a free nightly dinner. Plus, it was right in the heart of the old town. It struck the perfect balance between fun and comfort—highly recommend!
4. Peaceful Resort, Koh Lanta
An absolute gem at just $12 a night! Peaceful Resort felt like a boutique hotel, complete with a gorgeous pool, spacious rooms, and a prime location just two minutes from a stunning beach. It was mind-blowing how much value we got for such a small price—definitely one of the best deals of our trip.
Each of these places left a lasting impression, whether for their luxury, social energy, or unbeatable value. No matter your travel style, I hope this guide helps you find your perfect stay in Thailand!
