A Weekend Escape: Gourmet Delights and Tranquility at Beltana Farm

A Weekend Escape: Gourmet Delights & Tranquility at Beltana Farm

Looking for a weekend retreat that blends relaxation with non-stop indulgence in farm-to-table cuisine? Look no further—I just discovered one of my new favorite getaways, and trust me, you don’t want to miss this hidden gem.

Thanks to our foodie-loving parents, we were gifted a night’s stay and an incredible dinner at Beltana Farm, a charming farm-to-table restaurant with cozy on-site yurts, just five minutes outside of Canberra.

We stayed in the studio yurt, a beautifully designed space complete with a fully equipped kitchen, a plush bed, a wraparound patio, and a stunning bathtub. The moment we arrived, it felt like we had escaped into nature—peaceful, private, and far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The entire property was breathtaking, featuring tennis courts, bikes to explore the nearby town, an orchard, lush gardens, and a phenomenal restaurant. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’ll do just about anything for a great meal—but this experience exceeded every expectation.

We indulged in an endless tasting menu, each dish better than the last. Standouts included perfectly cooked Wagyu steak, crispy potato rösti, tender lamb, and melt-in-your-mouth croquettes. By the end, we were absolutely stuffed yet still craving more. I can confidently say this was the best tasting menu I’ve ever had.

Though we only stayed one night, I would have happily extended our trip for the entire weekend. Our stay was a perfect mix of outdoor adventure and relaxation—we biked to local coffee shops in the morning, explored the Canberra markets, played tennis, and soaked up the serenity of having our own private space.

Whether you're planning a romantic escape or just a peaceful weekend away, I can’t recommend Beltana Farm enough. Add this to your must-visit list—you won’t regret it!
