Booking the best sleeper buses in Vietnam:

Have you ever been squished in the back of a 30 degree bus with five strangers cuddled up next to you? Hopefully not, and I am going to show you how to avoid that.

Sleeper buses are the easiest and cheapest way to travel around Vietnam but you can get stuck on some small, crowded buses and the last thing you will be able to do is sleep. *Cue the bus driver slamming on the brakes and honking their horn.

Here are three tips to avoid those squishy, hot buses:

#1: If you’re booking on 1-2 Go, make sure to look at all the photos & reviews of the bus you’re booking so you can ensure you’re not getting a small, stuffy one. Additionally, the reviews will tell you if the bus is usually late and any other vibes you may like to know before embarking on a 10-hour journey.

#2: On 1-2 Go you will see there’s a number beside the name of the bus, that tells you how many people it fits. The lower the number the better because that means you will have more space and there likely won't be a section at the back with everyone squished.

#3: If you’re booking through a hostel, make sure you get the VIP option, they’re always more spacious and have better quality. Even if it costs a little more money I recommend doing this because there's nothing worse than taking a sleeper bus and getting to your destination cranky at 5AM.

Overall, these buses make travelling around Vietnam cheap and easy, so make your life easier and ensure you're booking the best of the best!
