Best apps for travelling South East Asia

Doesn't everywhere in the world have Uber?! Unfortunately, the answer is no. It is one of the worst feelings in the world getting to a new country and feeling unprepared so I am going to give you a list of my most used apps that made travelling SE Asia cheaper and easier.

Travel Spend: If you're someone who can't stick to a budget than this is for you. Travel spend allows you to track and allocate everything you're spending day to day so you can track it against your budget and see where you can cut back.

Grab: This is the holy grail of apps in SE Asia. Grab is used in *most countries and is the equivalent of Uber in North America (except a third of the price). We used grab all the time as it was usually the cheapest way to get around and order food.

Hit the Road

Polar Steps: Looking to track your route and the amount of km's you have travelled around the world? Then this app is for you. We loved using this app and it gave our family's the chance to track where we were and follow us on our trip.

Hostel World, Booking.com and Agoda: These can also be accessed on a browser but the apps made it very easy to manage everywhere we were staying across our six month trip. I used all three apps for different reasons and recommend you always check multiple apps for accommodation prices while travelling.

Booking.Com logo and symbol, meaning, history, PNGWanderlog: Wanderlog is the ultimate trip planning app, we used this every time we were mapping out where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. This allowed us to map out our routes better and understand how long we wanted to be in each spot.

Overall, all of these apps contributed to the success of our trip and will hopefully help you on your journey! If you're looking for more travel tips and tricks, subscribe to our newsletter and follow me on TikTok and Instagram.
