Palm Beach Getaway: Did Someone Say Girls Trip?

Name a dreamier place than the Sydney Northern Beaches...I'll wait.

It took me 6 months to visit Palm Beach and my overall opinion: I will be manifesting a life here for me in the future. My girlfriend and I planned a one night staycation and I am going to share all of our favourite spots <3

Starting off with where to stay, there are so many beautiful air bnbs but we were two girls on a budget so we had to get thrifty. We found the cutest studio that was underneath a beautiful, earthy family home in a stunning neighbourhood right in Palm Beach. It was called Calypso and you can find it here, when we went it was $160 a night.

Now, where to beach! There were so many magical spots along the coast but our two favourites were Palm Beach & Whale Beach. Not only were these the perfect spots to swim but we got to watch surfers ride the waves, enjoy the calm water in the rock pools and enjoy the most beautiful rugged cliff views.

Where to eat? My favourite part! We enjoyed a lovely dinner at The Joey, this restaurant is right on the water with the perfect golden hour and sunset. We treated ourselves to Chardonnay and some snapper and left dreaming about the next time we get to go back. As for coffee and breakfast, don't miss the Coast. This coffee shop stood out for it's sticky chai lattes, long blacks and breakfast wraps - including halloumi, bacon, avocado and egg. Although the food list is short, I promise you will be impressed.

It's also important to get in your steps so I recommend doing the famous Barrenjoey Lighthouse and the underrated Bangalley Head Hike. Both of these walks are short, uphill and have amazing views of the northern beaches landscape.

We drank wine, chatted non stop, drove through the dreamy beachy neighbourhoods and reminded ourselves how lucky we are that this is only a one hour drive from Sydney!

We hope you enjoy the adventure as much as we did and don't forget to follow me on Instagram and TikTok for all the bts of staycations like this.
