6 Unforgettable Morning Views That Made My Coffee Taste Even Better

The only thing better than enjoying your morning coffee? Doing it with an incredible view.

I've been lucky to travel to over 9 countries in the last year which means I have experienced every type of morning view. This included anything from the views from your bunk bed in a 20-person hostel room to the unforgettable view of waking up in the mountains of Thailand.

I am going to share with you my top 6 morning views of 2024 so you can also experience these hidden gems around the world!

A Little Leaf Homestay, Phong Nha Vietnam. This hostel was a hidden gem on a beautiful river in Phong Nha that only costed $10 a night for a double room. The patio from the room opened up to the river and mountains and we had paddle boards to explore on the water.

Khao Sok Floating Bungalows, Thailand. This was an unforgettable and serene experience in the national park. After sleeping all night in cabins on the water we woke up to fog clearing on the mountains in this beautiful protected area.

North Star Valley, Chiang Mai. After 3 months of hostels we treated ourselves to a glamping site in the mountains of Chiang Mai. Nestled right on the edge of the mountain this private bubble gave us 360 degree views of the landscape and a bathtub on the edge of a cliff. 

Mount Batur, Indonesia. This wasn't necessarily a hostel view, but we basically woke up to it after hiking from 3-6AM to the top of Mount Batur. This is one of the most beautiful sunrises I have ever seen and was worth the early morning expedition. 

Green Paddy Hostel Villa, Ubud. Tucked into the paddy's of Ubud this hostel was quiet, peaceful and a lovely place to enjoy breakfast and go for a morning swim. The lushness of this area made it an amazing place to relax and enjoy the greenery.

Hot Air Ballooning, Laos. In Vang Vieng, besides my fear of heights we went on our first sunrise hot air balloon ride. The views of the city and all the balloons rising in the morning is something I will never forget (it's also the cheapest place to hot air balloon in the world).
